Poem a Day 17

The prompt today was to write a haiku, something I very much did not want to do.  So after I wrote one (below), I started writing a poem about my feelings about writing haiku, which morphed into something completely different, but which I’ve posted as an alternative to today’s haiku tyranny.

In spring my garden
blooms again, and all nature—
my love excepted.
